Lots of newness for 2017

Lots of NEW in 2017 And it’s all good stuff.

1. We finished our new seasonal site section on the Ridge.  And it’s all filled for this season. Send in your app and get your name on the waiting list soon if you are interested in a seasonal site for next year. We fill vacant sites in the order your app is received.

2. We’ve been working hard this winter on all things Technology. Now you can make your reservations online. Go to the Reservations page and follow the prompts.

3. We changed up our web site, got a new look and feel.  We also added a few new pages. Check out our FAQ page and let us know what we’re missing. We’ll be adding information throughout the season.

We’re thinking it’s going to be an early opening this year. We’re aiming for the end of March. As soon as the roads firm up, we’ll be turning on the water and opening the gates.

New Seasonal Sites for 2017

It’s right around the corner… both the weekend and our annual Wine Tasting social with Empty Nest Winery.

Saturday May 28th 6-8pm. 

Join us at the Quonset Hut (or upstairs in the Barn if it rains) for wine tasting, snacks, and lots of fun give-aways.

We’re Open: April 7

We don’t care if it’s snowing. We’re camping now, cause it’s spring. Today we had three winters in the span of just a few hours. First it flurried, then It snowed, and finally we got a complete white-out. In-between each weather event the sun peeked out. The wind was ruthless. It was the weirdest day. 

But we worked through it all because… well, we’re open, now. The water’s on, the store’s open, and we’re working the wood for campfires. 

Plus 32

It’s a YES! We’re expanding. YAY! With this week’s approval from the Winneshiek County Board of Adjustments, it is our enthusiastic and absolute pleasure to add 32 more seasonal sites. 

We’ll be breaking bread, ah-um, ground, just south of the road to the landing. In fact, if you turn left at the T on your way out to the campground-we’ll be extending the road south into the cornfield (blue arrow), to build the new section on The Ridge (orange arrow). See ‘em, right there on the map? kinda?

Well, you will! Over the next several weeks you’ll be seeing us out there measuring, digging, filling, flattening, remeasuring, and mapping out the sites. Later you’ll see us burying sewer lines, installing water lines, connecting electric lines, pouring concrete, planting trees, and growing sod. 

Our target completion date is Memorial Day weekend, 2016.

We’ll be filling the new sites first with current seasonal campers who are looking to move to the Ridge. Then, we’ll be working from our Waiting List of campers who have an app on file… in the order they came in.  If you are interested in becoming part of the Harvest Farm Seasonal family, you can download an app and get it in to us (email, walk in, snail-mail). Presently, it looks like there are more campers on the list than there are sites to be added, but… actually you never know, and we do have 32 sites to fill, and circumstances change all the time, and if not this year, there’s always next. And, next year, we’ll have 85 seasonal sites.
